Chris Sutton took to Twitter last night to share his honest verdict on Neil Lennon, amid rumours that the Celtic boss was set to resign.
This morning, that news was confirmed by the club’s official Twitter account, as Lennon stepped down having held the reins since 2019.
After hearing the rumours, Sutton took to Twitter to deliver a measured, detailed analysis of what went wrong for the ex-Bolton boss this season.

The 49-year-old has now completed two separate stints at Celtic Park, having also roamed the dugout from 2010 to 2014.
Lennon answered the call and stepped in after Brendan Rodgers surprisingly left for Leicester during the 2018/19 season.
After he returned, the Northern Irishman won five trophies to add to the three Scottish Premiership titles and two Scottish Cups he won in his first stint.
Sadly, this season was just a complete and utter nightmare.
Celtic find themselves 18 points behind Rangers with the Ten in a Row now basically impossible to achieve.
Things also went terribly in the Europa League.
The Hoops finished bottom of Group H with just one win in six games.
Hopefully, Celtic can now make a shrewd, long-term appointment who will steer the ship around and get the Bhoys competing with Rangers once again.
