Tottenham Hotspur fans have praised Fabio Paratici for fronting up and doing their pre-match press conference today.
Paratici steps in
Tottenham are set to face Vitesse Arnhem in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday and are obliged to go through their pre-match media duties before the clash.
With Antonio Conte being officially unveiled as Spurs boss yesterday he has had little time to prepare for the press conference, though.
And it seems that Tottenham’s board are keen to protect their new manager for now.
As a result Paratici is set to step forward and face questions from the media.
It is a rare move for a sporting director to take, but Tottenham fans are pleased to hear that Paratici is prepared to speak later today.
Questions to be answered
Paratici may have to face some difficult questions, after what has been a rather mixed start at Spurs.
It is felt that he is the one who pushed for Nuno to come in, and that managerial appointment never looked like being one which would succeed.
Paratici is also said to have been influential in helping Conte to join the club, though.
And, given Conte’s stature in world football, that is quite the achievement for Tottenham’s sporting director in his first few months at the club.
