Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter in awe of what Curtis Jones did in the 75th minute against Tottenham last night.

The 19-year-old delivered a phenomenal display as Jurgen Klopp’s side wrestled top spot back off Tottenham in the Premier League.

Specifically, the moment under the spotlight saw Jones perform a flamboyant heel-flick pass to Andy Robertson, right under the nose of Jose Mourinho.

It was entirely unnecessary, as a simple pass to the Scot would’ve sufficed.

However, that is by no means a criticism. It showed that the teenager is playing with freedom and confidence is coursing through his veins.

Aside from his piece of skill, Jones delivered an excellent all-round performance.

As WhoScored shows, he had three shots on goal, and made two key passes against the north Londoners.

The Liverpool academy graduate also won four aerials duels – only another academy graduate in Rhys Williams won more with seven.

That is particularly impressive, seeing as the Liverpool No.17 isn’t exactly a towering presence, whereas Mourinho’s side are very physical.

Additionally, Jones made four interceptions, on a night where he showed no fear whatsoever against one of the Premier League’s best sides right now.

Let’s see what the Liverpool fans had to say about his flicked pass to Robertson…
