Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic have signed Odsonne Edouard on a permanent contract from Paris Saint-Germain.

Celtic have signed Edouard on a permanent contract from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by The Scottish Sun to be worth £10 million.
The 20-year-old forward spent the 2017-18 season on loan at Celtic, scoring 10 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions, as stated on the Hoops’ official website.
Former Celtic striker Beattie has praised Edouard for his temperament, but the 34-year-old – who won the Scottish league title thrice with the Bhoys and is now at Elgin City – has warned the Frenchman against getting complacent.

Beattie told The Scottish Sun: “I really like Odsonne’s temperament. He looks calm and composed, nothing seeming to faze him.
“He has everything Brendan looks for in a striker. He has always looked like he has enjoyed his football, which is a major thing for players.”
“But if Odsonne, or any of the squad for that matter, rest on their laurels they will find themselves out of the team,” added Beattie.
“Brendan has shown before he is more than prepared to drop big-name players if they are off form.
“He’s not naive or silly enough not to be watching for any signs of complacency after winning a double Treble.”

Good deal for Celtic
Edouard did not always start for Celtic this past season, but the French forward did well as an impact substitute and scored some important goals.
The youngster will have to fight for his place in Brendan Rodgers’s starting lineup next season, but the signs are very encouraging for the 20-year-old to be a long-term success at Celtic.
