Kyle Walker-Peters posted a picture of himself training with Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli on Instagram on Saturday.

It seems as though Alli is in Dubai with the Tottenham academy product where the duo are doing some off-season training.

Walker-Peters posted several pictures of the two training – both on the treadmill and with the weights, after both endured pretty different seasons in the Premier League in 2020/21.

Whilst Walker-Peters thrived in a Southampton side that tailed off during the second half of the Premier League season, his former teammate endured his worst season to date in Tottenham colours.

And he will be hoping the hard work away from the spotlight can get him back on the map because he has seemingly lost all sense of direction as to where his career is headed during these past few years.

Nonetheless, another ex-Tottenham player in Victor Wanyama responded to KWP’s IG post by simply posting in the comments section: ‘@Dele @Kwp beast mode is on’.

Many Tottenham fans will look at Walker-Peters and think ‘why on earth did the club sell him last summer?’.

There’s no doubt that he just produced a better campaign out on the right than Tottenham’s very own senior duo – Serge Aurier and Matt Doherty.

But that’s a decision those in the Tottenham boardroom have to live with because it seems as though they have been making many mistakes of late.

One being sacking Jose Mourinho in April, but still not having a replacement appointed.

The new Tottenham manager will also have a big bearing on what happens to Alli because his career isn’t exactly where he wants it to be.

Alli will need the faith installed in him from the other side when the new face arrives and then he’ll need to deliver the goods from the off.

If the MK Dons academy product has a poor start to the new campaign then it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him heading for the North London exit door.
