Some Arsenal fans on Twitter believe that Konstantinos Mavropanos deserves a chance to prove himself to Mikel Arteta next season.

The towering 23-year-old defender has established himself as a first-team regular since leaving Arsenal to join Stuttgart on a season-long loan.

Mavropanos, who joined the Gunners three years ago under Arsene Wenger, had injuries earlier in the campaign but is now starting for the Bundesliga outfit every single week.

He hasn’t made an appearance under Arteta in any competition since the Spaniard arrived in North London 15 months ago.

And some Arsenal fans on Twitter claim that his performances in Germany merit an opportunity to impress Arteta in the senior side next term.

Here’s what they’re saying on social media:

It’ll be interesting to see if he does have a future.

Arteta won’t rule anything out and with Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis off the books now, there’s more room to keep a centre-back this summer than there was last year.
