Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has said on Sky Sports Premier League (6:52pm, March 20, 2022) that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and David Moyes’s West Ham United can finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
Conte believes that any of Tottenham, West Ham and Arsenal could end up fourth, adding that they need to be ready for one of Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool to slip up.
City and Liverpool are fighting for the Premier League title, while Chelsea are likely to end up third.
So it is essentially Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham and West Ham who are fighting for the fourth and final Champions League place.
The defeat to Tottenham today has likely put an end to the Hammers’ chances of ending up in the Premier League top four this season.
Conte said: “Usually there are four teams in England that, in my opinion, in this moment are better than the others. I am talking about City, United, Chelsea and Liverpool.
“But if any of these four teams fail for the season and miss to stay in one of the four places, I think that now in this moment, Arsenal, Tottenham, West Ham, they need to be ready to try to stay until the end. Very close, very close. “”

Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur top-four battle
In our view, Arsenal and Tottenham could end up as the last two remaining teams in the race for the fourth place in the Premier League table this season.
And the North London derby could prove to be massive in that.
We do not yet know when that game will be played.
