Some Liverpool fans on social media have been reacting after it was reported by TeamTalk that Neymar has asked PSG to sign Raphinha from Leeds United.
Liverpool had, of course, been strongly linked with a move for the Brazilian. The player’s agent even admitted that the Reds were interested, while Fabinho said that he expected the winger to arrive at Anfield last summer.
However, it now seems as though PSG could be in for the winger, and if that is the case, Liverpool may struggle to pry him away from Elland Road.
Liverpool are undoubtedly a very attractive club for any player, but unfortunately, PSG are on another level when it comes to financial muscle.
Raphinha would surely relish the opportunity to play alongside the likes of Neymar and Lionel Messi, and it’s hard to imagine the Reds could win the race for his signature if they were going head to head with the Ligue 1 giants.
