The British tabloid has claimed that the the 36-year-old himself would be interested in taking over at Spurs.
Ray Parlour on Vincent Kompany to Tottenham Hotspur
Parlour said: “You have to be careful jumping job quickly. I think he is doing a brilliant job at Burnley.
“We all know they are going to be promoted this year into the Premier League, and sometimes you can jump ship too soon. He is still learning as a manager, he is still learning his trade.”

HITC Verdict: Spurs could be very tempting
In our view, the chance to manage Tottenham Hotspur could be too tempting for Vincent Kompany.
Yes, Burnley are now likely to achieve automatic promotion to the Premier League, but what can we expect the Clarets to do in the top fight of English football other than just fight for survival?
Tottenham have a massive club and are hugely ambitious, and the change to manage Spurs and make them competitive for the Premier League title could be hugely appealing to Kompany.
