‘Be careful’: Leeds CL semi-finalist sends relegation warning & makes bold claim

Danny Mills has warned Leeds on talkSPORT (10/11/20 at 9:40 pm) that they need to ‘be careful’ that they don’t get ‘dragged into’ a relegation battle.

The former Champions League semi-finalist with Leeds also boldly claimed that from the current bottom five, three of those will go down despite it being pretty early in the season.

As things stand, after eight games Brighton, Fulham, West Brom, Burnley and bottom of the table Sheffield United, currently make up the bottom five – Leeds are just hovering above them.

Mills shared his thoughts on this season’s relegation battle and he had a warning for one of his former clubs.

“I would say from the bottom five, three of those will go down,” said Mills. “Someone would normally get dragged into it, wouldn’t they?!

“But I look at all those teams above those positions and I think ‘well they have all got goals in them’. The bottom five have to be careful.

“Leeds have to be careful they don’t get dragged into it. But I think the bottom five, as it stands, three of those will go down.”

In recent matches, the Whites have hit a bit of a bad patch and they will be looking over their shoulders going into these next set of fixtures.

One thing they need to stop is the volume of goals they are conceding because they shipped four at Palace, four against Leicester, three against Fulham and four against Liverpool this season.

But with Marcelo Bielsa in charge, he will be on the front foot once again for their clash against Arsenal after the international break and it’s that type of mindset that will push them up the table.
