West Ham are said to be interested in bringing Youssef En-Nesyri to the Premier League, with the Morocco international currently shining at the World Cup.
It was the Mirror who revealed that David Moyes is a huge admirer of the African forward – who Sevilla paid €20m (£17m) for in 2020 – having also bid for the striker in January 2021.
Now, En-Nesyri has been told he scored “one of the best goals” at the World Cup against Portugal earlier today.
What’s the story?
Well, the 25-year-old leapt incredibly high to nod Morocco into the World Cup semi-final earlier today.
En-Nesyri finished off a superb team goal from Morocco, which eventually made footballing history as the Atlas Lions became the first African nation to reach the World Cup semi-final.
Commentating on the quarter-final clash for BBC Radio 5 Live was Pat Nevin, who felt the West Ham target rounded off “one of the best goals” seen in Qatar so far this winter.
The 59-year-old said: “Morocco have been fantastic on the ball, that is one of the best goals of the tournament. the build-up through the midfield, little one-twos and the keeper is absolutely nowhere.”
En-Nesyri has only scored two goals in 15 appearances for Sevilla so far this season, although he won’t be bothered about his domestic record one bit after writing his name into the history books.
West Ham should think carefully about En-Nesyri move
Despite his heroics against the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes, West Ham should think very carefully about bringing En-Nesyri to the London Stadium.
As aforesaid, the Morocco international has endured a difficult time at Sevilla so far this season, which should concern Moyes.

Additionally, the Hammers already have Gianluca Scamacca and Michail Antonio to call upon up front, so there is no urgent need for another striker.
West Ham should focus their efforts in the market on signing a new left-back, while added depth in midfield and the centre-back department also wouldn’t go amiss.
