Leeds United will face Cardiff City in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Noel Whelan suggested on The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds (broadcast from 6pm, September 16, 2016) that Chris Wood should start for Leeds United against Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon.
The West Yorkshire outfit will take on Cardiff away from home at the Cardiff City Stadium in the Championship in a few hours’ time.
Former Leeds striker Whelan has suggested that Wood should start up front instead of fellow striker Marcus Antonsson.

Antonsson, who joined the Whites from Kalmar FF in the summer transfer window, started the Championship game against Blackburn Rovers at Elland Road on Tuesday evening.
The 25-year-old striker was substituted just past the hour mark, and his replacement, Wood, scored only a few minutes later.
Leeds won the match 2-1 and will now be aiming to build on that victory with success over Cardiff in Wales.
“I have got to go with the goalscorer, with the confidence,” said Whelan on The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds (broadcast from 6pm, September 16, 2016) when asked who should start against Cardiff – Wood or Antonsson.
“I think that would have done him a world of good. His overall performance was well on the night, not just with scoring the goal, but the way he set up and chased down the long ball from Kalvin Phillips. I thought it was exceptional. He showed a lot of desire in his game.”

Wood, who is 24 years of age and has earned 42 caps for New Zealand, has scored three goals and created three chances in seven Championship appearances for Leeds so far this season.
Antonsson has scored one goal and created four chances in seven league matches for Garry Monk’s side so far this campaign.
