West Bromwich Albion drew 1-1 at Sunderland.
West Brom manager Tony Pulis before the match
Former player and current pundit Dion Dublin has warned West Bromwich Albion supporters to be careful what they wish for as he lends his backing to manager Tony Pulis, the BBC report.
The Baggies were denied all three points against Sunderland as Patrick van Aanholt fired in a late equaliser for the hosts, yet it was a good performance from the away side and they can count themselves unlucky.
The result sees West Brom move in to the top half of the table, and with the likes of Nacer Chadli adding that little extra quality there is genuine belief that the Baggies can be there come the end of the season.

Pulis has a particular style of football and it may not wash with every Albion supporter, yet there is no doubt he has the West Midlands side improving and there is still plenty more to come.
Co-commentating for the BBC, Dublin is adamant Pulis is guiding West Brom in the right direction and warns supporters to be careful what they wish for when they have a good manager in place.
“West Brom are in a good position under Tony Pulis – he’s guiding them in the right direction. If you want to have a transition from that have a plan. They look the most dangerous out of the two sides. Be careful what you wish for when you have a good manager in place,” Dublin said after the game.

While there may be a call for more entertainment at the Hawthorns in terms of playing style, there is no guarantee a new manager could get Albion playing any better and moving up the table.
West Ham United and Stoke City’s current struggles should be a reminder to West Brom of what could happen should they try to replace Pulis, especially the latter who sacked Pulis and replaced him with Mark Hughes.
