BBC pundit Trevor Sinclair talks up potential for former team West Ham to spoil Tottenham Hotspur’s party

Will West Ham see off Tottenham, or can Spurs maintain their title challenge?

Leicester City’s home draw with West Bromwich Albion last night has handed Tottenham Hotspur a great opportunity to move top of the Premier League this evening.

Spurs are three points behind The Foxes but have a sizeable advantage in goal difference. With that in mind a win tonight will see Spurs go top of the table for the first time this season.

Spurs will however have to get one over on their London rivals and fellow high-flyers West Ham United in order to reach the summit.

One BBC pundit, with a potential bias, can no doubt see the potential for West Ham to ruin the party for Spurs.

Trevor Sinclair was tweeting last night, after Leicester dropped two points against The Baggies:

Of course former England international Sinclair is a former West Ham player, spending five years with the club – which will help him see the potential for the Hammers to pull off a memorable result and dent the hopes of Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

It looks likely to be a top game between the two London rivals with the Premier League title race potentially hinging on the result.

Although, plenty more twists and turns are likely to occur between now and the end of the season.
