BBC pundit Trevor Sinclair has taken to Twitter to comment on West Ham United’s performance in their 2-1 home defeat to Chelsea on Monday evening.
The Hammers had drawn their previous two games against West Bromwich Albion and Watford, meaning Slaven Bilic’s men were looking for a victory.
However, thy were always up against it as they took on league leaders Chelsea, and the Blues struck in each half as goals from Eden Hazard and Diego Costa put Antonio Conte’s men 2-0 up at the London Stadium.
West Ham grabbed a late consolation through Manuel Lanzini, but they couldn’t mount a fightback at Chelsea claimed all three points in a 2-1 win.
Monday’s result leaves West Ham in 11th place in the Premier League table, 11 points clear of the relegation zone, but some way off a European place.

It’s been a frustrating season for West Ham, summed up by the growing pains at their new home and the January departure of Dimitri Payet, and fans will be disappointed with another defeat to a London rival.
After the final whistle, BBC pundit Trevor Sinclair took to Twitter to offer his reaction to the game, and actually praised West Ham’s performance.
Sinclair praised West Ham’s endeavour and spirit, but noted that Chelsea – the champions-elect – were simply too good on the night.
