Trevor Sinclair has praised Celtic for resisting West Ham’s interest in Moussa Dembele.
Pundit Trevor Sinclair has taken to Twitter to admit that he’ glad to see Celtic rebuff interest from his former club West Ham United for Moussa Dembele.
Dembele, 20, hit 17 goals for Fulham in all competitions last season, and with his contract expiring last summer, a host of clubs were linked with moves to sign him.

It was Celtic who won the race for his signature though, and their faith in the young Frenchman has been repaid, as Dembele has hit 19 goals in 36 appearances this term.
Unsurprisingly, Dembele’s goalscoring exploits in Scotland have triggered interest in his signature, with Glasgow Live recently reporting that Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are all keen on him.

However, the team to make the first firm move for Dembele was West Ham United, with The Mirror reporting last week that Celtic snubbed a £20million offer from the Hammers for his signature.
West Ham desperately need a striker given that summer signings Jonathan Calleri and Simone Zaza have both flopped, and Slaven Bilic is seemingly looking to splash the cash on a new goalscorer.
Celtic managed to fend them off though, with Brendan Rodgers’ men unlikely to let their star striker leave just six months after securing his signature.
After the news of the rejected bid broke, former West Ham winger Trevor Sinclair – something of a Celtic fan – took to Twitter to state that it’s great to see the Bhoys keeping hold of Dembele having seen the likes of Ki Sung-yueng, Victor Wanyama, Fraser Forster and Virgil van Dijk leave in recent years, whilst claiming that it’s a sign of Celtic’s ambition that they kept Dembele despite West Ham’s huge bid.
