Chris Sutton told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport that Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho and Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta wouldn’t get the most stick from supporters if they were present in stadiums this season.

The Radio pundit thinks Newcastle United manager, Steve Bruce, would be ‘top’ of that list ahead of Tottenham’s outspoken coach and then Arsenal’s unproven manager.

At any stage this season, it could have been argued that either of the above managers were at risk of getting the chop.

But their owners stuck by them, with a lot of questions still yet to be answered.

Nonetheless, former Wales midfielder, Robbie Savage, asked the following question to Sutton about the above trio.

Savage asked: “Chris if I said to you if there were fans in stadiums this season. Which manager do you think the fans would have given the most stick to?

“I think top of that would be Steve Bruce,” said Sutton. “I think second would be Jose and I think third would be Mikel Arteta.”

Given that Newcastle are heading for the drop then it doesn’t get much worse than that.

Arteta, on the other hand, is still trying to find his feet and their form just before Christmas was pretty dreadful and at, any stage, he could have been given his marching orders.

As for Mourinho, given his forthright ways, every time Tottenham lose there seems to be a meltdown of some sort.
