Clinton Morrison has told BBC Sport that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele was “frustrated” when he came off against Chelsea this evening.
The former Crystal Palace forward, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport, was impressed by the display produced by Ndombele during Tottenham’s Premier League game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The 23-year-old midfielder started the match and played for 65 minutes before being replaced by Giovani Lo Celso.
Morrison was following the match, which ended in a goalless draw, and while the BBC Sport pundit has praised the youngster, he was disappointed that Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho decided to take him off.
Former Chelsea star Frank Sinclair was following the match as well, and he was impressed by what he saw of Ndombele in the first half.
Morrison told BBC Sport (17:59): “It’s frustrating. Tanguy Ndombele has been Tottenham’s best player. He has been brilliant so far this season.
“But Giovani lo Celso came on last week so hopefully this change will turn out to be a masterstroke from Jose Mourinho. Ndombele is frustrated.”
