Noel Whelan has said on BBC Radio Leeds that he thinks that Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa will drop Helder Costa for the match against West Ham United next week.
Costa started for Leeds in their Premier League game against Aston Villa at Elland Road in the Premier League this past weekend.
The 27-year-old winger was replaced in the 64th minute by Jack Harrison, on loan from Manchester City, as the Whites lost 1-0.
Former Leeds striker Whelan, who now works as a pundit for BBC Radio Leeds, does not think that Costa played well against the Villans, and believes that Bielsa could leave him out of the team against West Ham.
Leeds will take on West Ham away from home at the London Stadium in the Premier League next Monday evening.
Whelan said on BBC Radio Leeds: “I think it’s the right choice to give him the opportunity [against Villa], but then the onus is on Costa to take that opportunity and make it count.
“Saw a little bit, but nothing there that says to me you keep your place there in the next game. He’s not given Marcelo Bielsa a big enough headache, makes it easy for him to put Harrison back in next game.”

Big decision
Costa was not particularly great against Villa, but Harrison has not been playing well in recent weeks.
Bielsa has a big decision to make whether to stick with the 27-year-old Portuguese winger or bring Harrison back into the team.
According to WhoScored, against Villa this past weekend, Costa took one shot which was not on target, had a pass accuracy of 66.7%, took 29 touches, attempted one dribble, and put in one cross.
