Peter Crouch told The Daily Mail that Arsenal is the perfect club for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.

However, the former Tottenham Hotspur striker, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport and BT Sport, believes that a move may not happen now as Arsenal are not a Champions League club anymore.

The Gunners are playing in the Europa League this season and have fallen behind in the race for the Champions League places in the Premier League table.

Crouch told The Daily Mail when asked if he can see Zaha playing for a Champions League club: “He’s definitely got the talent.

“I was going to say Arsenal would be perfect for him but Arsenal are far away from being a Champions League club at the moment. I doubt he would play regularly at Liverpool or Manchester City but perhaps a club abroad would consider him.”

Move to Arsenal unlikely now

Former Arsenal manager Unai Emery told The Guardian in May 2020 that he wanted to sign Zaha from Palace in the summer of 2019.

Emery added that the former Manchester United winger himself wanted to come, but the Gunners signed Nicolas Pepe instead.

With Arsenal having brought in Willian on a free transfer in the summer of 2020, it is now hard to see the North London club make a move for Zaha, who was rated at £30 million by Palace in the summer of 2020, as reported by The Sun.

According to WhoScored, Zaha has scored seven goals and provided two assists in nine Premier League matches for Palace so far this season.
