Matthew Upson has said on BBC Radio 5 Live (8:58pm, May 9, 2021) that reported Tottenham Hotspur target Sam Johnstone will be in demand.
West Bromwich Albion will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League.
Johnstone has been one of the best players for the Baggies, as the 28-year-old goalkeeper has made saves after saves.
Former Arsenal central defender Upson, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport, believes that the ex-Manchester United goalkeeper will be in demand.
ESPN has reported interest from Tottenham, West Ham United and Manchester United in Johnstone.
The Daily Mail claimed last month that West Brom want £18 million as transfer fee for the Englishman, adding that Tottenham, West Ham and Leeds United all want to sign him.
Upson said on BBC Radio 5 Live (8:58pm, May 9, 2021): “He had had a really strong season for West Brom, so he would be a player that I would say some Premier League clubs will be looking at.”

It is hard to see Johnstone play for West Brom in the Championship next season.
After all, the goalkeeper is 28 now and is at the top of his game.
Spurs need to sign a young(er) goalkeeper, as Hugo Lloris is 34 now.
Johnstone would be a good signing for Tottenham. The 28-year-old is very confident between the posts, makes good saves and commands his area well.
Tottenham should start preparing a bid now for Johnstone and should at least make an offer.
For £18 million, Johnstone could prove to be a bargain signing for Spurs.
