BBC Sport pundit Don Hutchison has said that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane should wait until next summer and then have the option to move to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

The former Liverpool player has said on BBC Radio 5 Live that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane would have the option to join the Reds in the summer of 2024.

Hutchison believes that Kane should see out his contract at Spurs and then see if he could move to Anfield.

The pundit has said that Liverpool would be among the clubs who would be keen on signing the England international striker on a free transfer next summer.

Hutchison believes that Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Manchester City and Real Madrid would also want to sign Kane next summer.

Kane is out of contract at Tottenham at the end of the season.

BBC Sport has reported that the striker is in Germany now and is about to undergo a medical with Bundesliga champions Bayern.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane told to wait for Liverpool

Hutchison said: “My stance is if Harry Kane waits 12 months, he can still have Bayern Munich at the table, he will Manchester City at the table, he will have Manchester United at the table, he will have Liverpool at the table, he will have Barcelona and Real Madrid at the table.

“Why would you dive into a move now to Bayern when potentially you could be playing under Pep Guardiola and with Eriling Haaland at Man City, you could be playing for the biggest club in the world in Real Madrid with Kylian Mbappe on a free next season?”

The pundit added: “My stance on the player – I would wait 12 months and have all those teams that I mentioned say right in front of you and then have the pick of every top team in Europe.”

In our view, Harry Kane is making the right move now.

Bayern Munich are one of the biggest clubs in the world and are a global brand.

It is an honour for any player to turn out for Kane.

And Bayern want Kane now.

Yes, the striker could have the choice of a move to Liverpool next summer, but he might not.

After all, Liverpool have a very good attacking department.

Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz are the main attacking options for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds may not want to sign another attacking player next season, even Kane on a free transfer.

The likes of Madrid, United and City might not want to sign Kane next summer when he will be a year older.

The striker could suffer a long-term injury.

You just never know what the future holds.
