Garth Crooks has suggested to BBC Sport that he thinks Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno could be hiding Liverpool target Adama Traore away from attention.
Traore did not start for Wolves in their first game after the Premier League restart, and was only used as a late substitute.
The Spanish winger proceeded to completely change the game after being brought on, as Wolves went on to win 2-0.
And Crooks says that he only reason he can see why Traore isn’t starting is because Nuno wants to hide him away, with Liverpool reportedly interested in him.
“I don’t understand managers sometimes,” Crooks said.
“When I saw Adama Traore warming up to come on my immediate thoughts were: ‘Why didn’t he start the match?’
“I think Nuno Espirito Santo is trying to keep Traore off the transfer radar. What other reason can there be not to play a player who is unplayable at the moment?”

The Daily Mirror suggest that Liverpool have gone as far as making an enquiry to sign Traore.
Jurgen Klopp is reportedly ‘desperate’ to bring the powerful wide-man to Anfield and his latest display is sure to have caught the eye.
Despite Liverpool’s apparent willingness to make a move for Traore any transfer appears unlikely.
Wolves would surely want a huge fee for the forward, and Liverpool are thought to be working on a fairly limited budget.
