Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen once again disappointed yesterday.
BBC pundit Alan Shearer was heavily critical in regards to Vincent Janssen’s performance for Spurs yesterday, and accused the striker of being frightened of missing chances, when speaking to BBC Sport.
The Dutchman has been in woeful form for Tottenham, since his £17 million switch to White Hart Lane in the summer, and has scored just three goals in 23 outings, all of which coming from the penalty spot.

And Shearer highlighted an area of major concern for Spurs fans, as far as Janseen’s performances go, when speaking to the BBC:
“Vincent Janssen is making life far too easy for defenders. He keeps coming towards the ball instead of getting into the six-yard box where he could actually score goals. He is taking the easy way out and he looks to me that he is frightened of missing chances. Unless he starts getting into the right areas, he is not going to score goals.”
The 22-year-old seems too slow and cumbersome to have a positive impact on a side who plays with such high intensity.

He also seems to totally lack confidence, and because of this, he is positioning himself too far away form the danger area, where he could actually make a difference.
The problem for Janssen now is that with Harry Kane back and firing on all cylinders, he will find his playing time even more limited than he has done already.
And he is dangerously close to becoming the new Roberto Soldado at White Hart Lane.
