Neil McCann has told BBC Sport that Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos needed to do more this afternoon.
Rangers have played out a 1-1 draw with Motherwell away from home in the Scottish Premiership today.
Morelos started the match for the Gers, but manager Steven Gerrard decided to bring him off in the 83rd minute.
Former Rangers winger McCann, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport, said in the second half that Morelos was not doing enough for his team.
McCann told BBC Sport (1:21): “Alfredo Morelos needs to do more. He’s a very good player but he needs to help his team out here.”
How did Alfredo Morelos play?
Morelos had a very good chance in the first half when Borna Barisic put in a brilliant cross for him, but the Colombia international striker’s header went just wide.
According to WhoScored, the 24-year-old played two key passes, had a pass accuracy of 90%, won one header, took 35 touches, attempted one dribble, and put in two tackles.
The draw means that Rangers are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 66 points from 24 matches, and are as many as 21 points clear of second-placed and defending champions Celtic, who have played 21 games.
