Noel Whelan has said on BBC Radio Leeds that Ezgjan Alioski will leave Leeds United at the end of the season.
The former Leeds striker, who now works as a pundit for BBC Radio Leeds, believes that Alioski will not sign a new contract with the Premier League club.
The 29-year-old, who is a winger by trade but plays as a left-back under head coach Marcelo Bielsa, is out of contract at the West Yorkshire club in the summer.
Well-known and well-respected journalist Phil Hay told The Phil Hay Show podcast on The Athletic last month that Leeds have made an offer to the 29-year-old North Macedonia international, but he has yet to accept those terms.
Whelan said about Alioski on BBC Radio Leeds: “You can never ever question his heart, desire and effort. You just can’t. I just think the love affair for both club with Alioski will end at the end of the season.”

Leaving Leeds United
Alioski has been on the books of Leeds since 2017 and has been an important player in the team over the years.
The North Macedonia international has adapted well to playing at left-back and is a very reliable figure on the pitch.
With the season to end soon, it is hard to see the 29-year-old agree a new deal, and it is very likely that he will leave this summer.
According to WhoScored, Alioski has made 24 starts and seven substitute appearances in the Premier League for Leeds this season, scoring two goals and providing one assists in the process.
