Leeds United won against Brighton & Hove Albion in the Championship on Saturday evening.

Noel Whelan has told BBC Sport that Leeds United striker Chris Wood was exceptional against Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday evening.
Leeds returned to winning ways in the Championship with a 2-0 victory over Brighton at Elland Road.
New Zealand international striker Wood was the star of the show for the West Yorkshire outfit.
The 25-year-old former West Bromwich Albion and Leicester City man put the home team in the lead in the 63rd minute, and doubled the advantage from the penalty spot in the 85th minute.
Former Leeds striker Whelan was following the match, and he was impressed with the performance of Wood.
“Chris Wood has done exceptionally well this evening, holding the ball up and winning headers,” Whelan told BBC Sport.
“For Chris Wood’s first, it was about the accuracy of the header – and his confidence,” added Whelan. “He just looks the complete centre forward right now – his movement, his chasing, his positioning.
“He’s on track for 30 goals in a season, which is phenomenal. He must think he’s the best striker in the world, in his head – and I wouldn’t argue with him! He oozes confidence – Brighton’s centre halves will know they’ve been in a game today.”
Arsenal legend David Seaman, who failed to break into the first team at Leeds back in the early 1980s, has taken to Twitter to react to the win for the Whites.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Elland Road on Saturday evening hosts, Leeds had 50% of the possession, took 11 shots of which three were on target, and earned three corners, according to BBC Sport.
