Former Tottenham Hotspur forward Garth Crooks has been quoted as saying by BBC Sport (14:12) that Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez is playing like Luis Suarez at Liverpool a few years ago.
Sanchez is one of the best players in the Premier League at the moment and has been in good form for Arsenal so far this season.
The Chile international forward has scored four goals and created 19 chances in nine Premier League appearances for the Gunners so far this campaign.
In three Champions League matches for the North London outfit this season, the 27-year-old, who can also play as a winger, has scored two goals and created eight chances.
Former Tottenham forward Crooks has praised Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger for playing Sanchez through the centre.
The Englishman has also claimed that the former Barcelona and Udinese star is playing like Suarez at Liverpool a few years ago.
Uruguay international striker Suarez, now on the books of Spanish giants Barcelona, almost led Liverpool to the Premier League title in the 2013-14 season.
“It has been a masterstroke from Arsene Wenger playing Alexis Sanchez through the centre,” BBC Sport quotes Crooks as saying (14:12). “He is playing like Luis Suarez a few years ago at Liverpool.”
Arsenal are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 20 points from nine matches, level on points with leaders Manchester City and third-placed Liverpool.
