Kai Havertz started for Arsenal against Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta decided to deploy Kai Havertz on the left of a midfield-three against Manchester United.
The Germany international, who can operate as a midfielder or as a forward, joined Arsenal from London and Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old has failed to make an immediate impact at the Emirates Stadium.
Havertz is at his best when played as a number 10.

But at Arsenal, it is Martin Odegaard who is the creator-in-chief.
It seems that Arteta is trying his best to fit Havertz into the team.
It is not working at the moment.
And there was a moment in the first half of the Premier League match between Arsenal and Manchester United that pretty much summed up Havertz’s time at the Gunners so far.
Criticism of Arsenal player Kai Havertz vs Manchester United
Havertz was just 10 yards out in the centre of the goal.
The ball fell to him.
All the former Chelsea player had to do was just hit the ball on target.
He failed.
Havertz sliced the shot and made an awful connection.
It was poor.
Very poor.
And former Arsenal defender and BBC Sport pundit Matthew Upson was disappointed.
Upson said on BBC Sport: “Wow. That man Martinelli is on fire at the moment.
“It falls to the feet of Kai Havertz and on his left foot, I don’t know what happened there. He didn’t look particularly comfortable or relaxed.
