Pundit Mark Lawrenson has told BBC Sport that he thinks Tottenham Hotspur will beat Leicester City 2-0 at the King Power Stadium this evening.

Spurs head into the game having only managed to draw 1-1 with West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon, with Mauricio Pochettino needing a Harry Kane equaliser to claim a point after Salomon Rondon’s opener.

Whilst the win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League was impressive a week ago, it’s now just one point taken from the last two league outings for Spurs, and they will be looking for a response tonight.

Tottenham head back to the King Power Stadium, where they won 6-1 last season, though they may not find it quite so simple this time around.

The Foxes picked up a 1-1 draw at West Ham United on Friday night, meaning new manager Claude Puel has claimed one win, two draws and one defeat in his first four games as Leicester boss.

Puel’s one win came with the 2-0 victory over Everton last month, and he will hope for similar tonight as he faces another former Southampton manager in Pochetttino.

Ahead of the game, pundit Mark Lawrenson has told BBC Sport that he was disappointed with Spurs’ unconvincing display against West Brom, but thinks Spurs will win 2-0 this evening.

Football pundit Mark Lawrenson looks on before the npower Championship game between Cardiff City and Queens Park Rangers at Cardiff City Stadium on April 23, 2011 in Cardiff, Wales.

Lawrenson has been impressed with Tottenham’s away performances, and is backing them to bounce back with a win, as they did after recent defeats.

“Tottenham slipped up again at Wembley with their draw against West Brom and, again, their performance was not convincing either,” said Lawrenson. “Spurs have a better success rate on the road than at home this season – 12 points from six games, compared to 12 from seven.”

“Yes, they have lost at Old Trafford and Emirates Stadium, but generally they have played well and got positive results when they have gone away, and I am expecting that to continue against Leicester. Leicester manager Claude Puel has only lost one of his first four games in charge, but I would back Spurs to bounce back with a win – as they did after losing at Manchester United and Arsenal,” he added.
