Mark Schwarzer has stated that Arsenal transfer target Michael Olise ‘petrified’ West Ham United for Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
The Eagles played host to the Hammers in a full-throttle London derby at Selhurst Park this Saturday afternoon.
Olise was often the architect of Crystal Palace’s better chances during the first period. West Ham regularly struggled to contain the dynamic 21-year-old forward.

Arsenal are considering a transfer for Michael Olise
Arsenal may have taken note of Olise’s performance against West Ham as Mikel Arteta eyes the Crystal Palace star’s transfer.
Reports by The Sun earlier in April noted that Arsenal are interested in Olise’s transfer from Crystal Palace. But he has a number of suitors in the Champions League.
Olise is settled at Selhurst Park, so would happily stay for another season to guarantee he gets regular first-team football.
The Eagles’ £8m arrival from Reading in July 2021 has been in great form of late.
Olise had eight assists and two goals in 31 Premier League appearances before facing West Ham this weekend.
He would add to his tally, as well, after creating Jordan Ayew’s equaliser before fashioning Wilfried Zaha’s go-ahead goal.

Michael Olise ‘petrified’ West Ham for Crystal Palace
West Ham struggled to get to grips with Olise as the Crystal Palace forward tormented the Hammers on Saturday afternoon.
Olise played a perfectly weighted pass through to Ayew to drill low past Lukas Fabianski in the 15th minute.
Zaha would then put Crystal Palace ahead in the 20th minute from Olise’s ball across the box after dispatching Emerson Palmieri with ease.
The Frenchman continued to wreak havoc as the architect of Roy Hodgson’s plans.
Olise’s efforts would enthral Schwarzer, as well, to demonstrate why Arsenal are interested in his transfer from Crystal Palace.
“It’s Michael Olise who provides the ball across,” Schwarzer told BBC Radio 5 Live. “Every time Olise gets the ball on this right-hand side, West Ham are petrified.”

He added: “For Palace, it’s been an afternoon so far where there is a lack of pressure on their shoulders. Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise have been a joy to watch.”
Olise joined Crystal Palace on a five-year contract running to June 2026 as he left Reading after five years.
The France U21 gem entered the Royals’ academy after spells with Manchester City and Chelsea in his youth.
But his efforts at Crystal Palace that left West Ham chasing shadows at times could now see Olise merit a transfer from south to north London with Arsenal.
