Mark Lawrenson is backing Tottenham to avoid an upset and beat Wycombe Wanderers today.
Pundit Mark Lawrenson has told BBC Sport that he thinks Tottenham Hotspur will beat Wycombe Wanderers 2-0 in the FA Cup this afternoon.
Spurs have been in scintillating Premier League form of late, dropping just two points in the last seven games, as they fought from 2-0 down at Manchester City last weekend to claim a 2-2 draw.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men are now back in cup action this afternoon, as his side will look to build on their 2-0 home win over Aston Villa in the previous round.

Tottenham weren’t exactly convincing in that game, but did enough to claim the win with a rotated side, and will be hoping to avoid a slip-up against Wycombe Wanderers today.
Gareth Ainsworth’s side have been on a great run of league form themselves, as the League Two side have dropped just six points in their last ten league games to sit just five points off the automatic promotion spots.

In the FA Cup, Wycombe claimed a narrow 2-1 win over non-league Stourbridge in the third round, and will have to be at their very best to stand a chance of claiming anything against Tottenham this afternoon.
Ahead of today’s game, pundit Mark Lawrenson has told BBC Sport that he expects Tottenham to ring a number of changes to his side, with the likes of Kieran Trippier, Ben Davies, Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko and Vincent Janssen all in contention to play.
Lawrenson added that this is a financially beneficial game for a club like Wycombe, but predicts a 2-0 win for Spurs, as they’re just too good at White Hart Lane – even with a rotated side.
“This is a great money-spinning tie for Wycombe,” said Lawrenson. “I think we can expect a lot of Tottenham changes – but this is a home win all day,” he added.
