Tyler Denton featured for Leeds United against Luton Town in the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening.

Noel Whelan praised Leeds United youngster Tyler Denton on The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds on Friday evening (broadcast from 6pm, August 26, 2016).
The former Leeds striker was impressed with the 20-year-old full-back’s performance against Luton Town on Tuesday evening.
The young left-back started the EFL Cup second-round tie for the Whites against Luton away from home at Kenilworth Road.
Denton, who played for the entire 90 minutes, scored the only goal of the match midway through the first half.

The performance of the youngster saw him earn a new contract with Leeds (click here to read more) and also saw him included in the EFL Cup Team of the Round.
Whelan was impressed with Denton’s performance for the West Yorkshire outfit against Luton.
“He doesn’t have the same kind of stature as Charlie Taylor,” said Whelan about Denton on The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds on Friday evening (broadcast from 6pm, August 26, 2016).
“He is a little bit smaller, but his positioning, knowing his job, ball distribution, composure on the ball, and he will probably never hit a sweet strike than what he did the other night. I mean, it was a great strike.”

Leeds will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Nottingham Forest away from home at the City Ground in the Championship.
Garry Monk’s side will head into the game with confidence and will fancy their chances of picking up all three points.
