Garth Crooks gives his view on Tottenham Hotspur result.
Former Tottenham Hotspur player Garth Crooks has told BBC Sport he wishes his former club could spare him the heartache with their dramatic results.
Spurs beat Swansea City 5-0 at the weekend, bringing back a feelgood factor which had been at risk of disappearing after a loss away at Chelsea last weekend.

Speaking to The BBC, Crooks explains he would simply rather see them be a bit more consistent.
The pundit said: “I would have preferred a draw against Chelsea last week and a comfortable 2-0 victory, as opposed to a swashbuckling win, against Swansea.
“My reasoning is this: I’m tired of being continuously led into a false sense of being optimistic about the title y a Tottenham team that destroys the lesser outfits yet suffers from stage fright when the bigger clubs come along.”
To be fair to Tottenham of course, the defeat to Chelsea was only their first Premier League loss of the season, staying unbeaten longer than any other side in the top flight.

Chelsea are in outstanding form at the moment and Tottenham played them at just the wrong time, coming into the match days after losing in the Champions League and being eliminated from the competition.
Crooks picked out one Tottenham star in his ‘team of the week’, Kyle Walker, who he says steps up each week regardless, commenting: “Walker is not one of the players who is inclined to fluff his lines on the big stage.”
Tottenham’s next Premier League match is a ‘big game’ against Manchester United, in which they can move nine points clear of the stumbling Red Devils with a win.
