Nottingham Forest lost yet again in the Championship. Forest had suffered a 5-1 defeat to Norwich City away from home at Carrow Road in the league at the weekend, and on Tuesday evening, they went down 3-2 to Fulham in London.
Forest took the lead at Craven Cottage after only two minutes when Pajtim Kasami found the net.
Tom Cairney pulled Fulham level on the half-hour mark, and Lucas Piazon put the home team ahead just three minutes later.
Ben Brereton, who is only 17 years of age, restored parity for the Reds in the opening minutes of the second half, but Neeskens Kebano’s shot deflected in off Forest’s Jack Hobbs on 72 minutes to hand Fulham a 3-2 win.
Former Forest defender Brian Laws was following the match for BBC Radio Nottingham, and he was impressed with the performance of Brereton.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Craven Cottage on Tuesday evening, visitors Forest had just 36% of the possession, took seven shots of which three were on target, and earned one corner, according to BBC Sport.
