BBC pundit outlines what Hadi Sacko lacks

Hadi Sacko joined Leeds United on a season-long loan deal from Sporting Lisbon in the summer transfer window.

Noel Whelan said on The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds on Friday evening (broadcast from 6pm, October 14, 2016) what Leeds United summer signing Hadi Sacko lacks.

Sacko joined Championship club Leeds on a season-long loan deal from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon in the summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old, who can play as a winger, attacking midfielder or striker, has done well for the Whites so far this season.

As the following Opta Stats table shows, the French youngster has played quite well for the West Yorkshire outfit so far this campaign.

Former Leeds striker Whelan has highlighted what Sacko is lacking at the moment – composure in front of goal.

“The only thing’s that lacking: he is 22 years of age, he lacks that little bit of composure in front of goal, that little bit of composure and quality in picking a player out when he gets into those situations,” said Whelan on The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds on Friday evening (broadcast from 6pm, October 14, 2016).

This is not the first time that Whelan has pointed out that Sacko needs to work on his final ball.

“Sacko is dangerous,” said Whelan. “For me, he is the best winger that we have got at the club.

“On his day, he can just breeze past people, but it’s about the final ball into the box to feed the strikers. It’s got to be better.”

Leeds are 11th in the Championship table at the moment with 16 points from 11 matches, just four points behind sixth-placed Birmingham City.
