Leeds United will face Rotherham United in the Championship this evening.

Noel Whelan suggested on The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds on Friday evening (broadcast from 6pm, November 25, 2016) that Leeds United midfielder Alex Mowatt has fitness issues.
Mowatt is one of the most talented young players in the Championship, but the 21-year-old midfielder has not featured heavily for Leeds so far this season.
The former England Under-20 international has created six chances in 11 league matches for the Whites so far this campaign.
With Pablo Hernandez out injured with a hamstring problem for this evening’s Championship match against Rotherham United away from home, as reported by BBC Sport, many will suggest that Mowatt could replace in the Spaniard in the number 10 role.
However, former Leeds striker Whelan named Kemar Roofe and Marcus Antonsson ahead of Mowatt to feature in that position at the AESSEAL New York Stadium.
“He seems to be out of the picture a little bit at the moment,” said Whelan about Mowatt on The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds on Friday evening (broadcast from 6pm, November 25, 2016) while discussing the prospect of Mowatt playing as a number 10 against Rotherham. “I am not sure. I still think he has got a lot of class. I just think sometimes it’s his fitness for me.”

Mowatt did not have a great season on a personal level in 2015-16, and it seems that he has lost his place in Garry Monk’s team.
However, there can be no denial that the youngster is supremely talented, and he will get his chance as the season progresses.
Leeds are seventh in the Championship table at the moment with 26 points from 17 matches, just a point behind sixth-placed Norwich City.
