BBC pundit Clinton Morrison has praised Eddie Nketiah after his brace for Arsenal in their 3-0 win against Oxford United in the FA Cup, for silencing his doubters who questioned whether he could Gabriel Jesus.

Nketiah is most certainly doing an excellent job in the absence of Jesus, scoring 4 goals in 4 starts in the absence of the injured Jesus for Mikel Arteta and Co.

As Arsenal booked a place in the 4th Round of the FA Cup against Manchester City, the 23-year-old capped off another fine outing with a pair of well-taken finishes.

Eddie Nketiah doubled his boyhood club’s lead in fine fashion, by getting on the end of a delightful Fabio Vieira through ball, before rounding the goalkeeper and knocking the ball into an empty net.

However, Nketiah was far from done against Oxford United in the FA Cup.

After Gabriel Martinelli slipped in the clinical striker, the composure and technique to dink the ‘keeper was simply world-class.

And now, a renowned pundit has hailed Nketiah for replacing Jesus with aplomb.

BBC pundit has given Eddie Nketiah his duels for coming in for the injured Gabriel Jesus and doing the business, after his brace for Arsenal in their 3-0 thrashing of Oxford United in the FA Cup.

“Credit to Eddie Nketiah. A lot of people have been saying, ‘can he fill Gabriel Jesus’ shoes?’

“I am not saying he can because Jesus is a fantastic player but he is doing well at the moment and scoring lots of goals”, the pundit said on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Ultimately, the BBC pundit is spot on, as Nketiah deserves a lot of praise for ensuring that Jesus’ presence is not as missed as expected, as he starred for Arsenal in the FA Cup this time around.
