Rangers boss Mark Warburton has been criticised by pundit Michael Stewart.
Pundit Michael Stewart has told BBC Sport’s Sportscene that Rangers boss Mark Warburton is too set on a certain way of playing, and needs to become more tactically flexible.
Rangers were dreadful in their 2-0 defeat at Hearts last week, and had to produce a real response on Saturday afternoon as they hosted Aberdeen at Ibrox.

Manager Mark Warburton had come in for major criticism after that Hearts defeat, but claimed a 2-1 win against Aberdeen as Kenny Miller and Lee Hodson struck second half goals before Andrew Considine hit a late consolation for Aberdeen.
The result left Rangers in second place in the Scottish Premiership table, and was finally the statement win over a major rival that Gers boss Warburton had been looking for since winning promotion.
Warburton will be hoping that Saturday’s win can help ease some of the mounting pressure on him, but Rangers remain some way behind league leaders and Old Firm rivals Celtic.

Expecting to challenge Celtic for the title in their first season back in the top flight was too ambitious for Rangers, but many fans have been left disappointed by the gap between Rangers and Celtic, as the Bhoys sit eight points clear at the top with three games in hand on the Gers.
After Saturday’s game, pundit Michael Stewart suggested to BBC Sport’s Sportscene hat second place is a realistic league position for Rangers, but understands why there is criticism aimed at Warburton.

Stewart feels that Warburton is too set on a certain way of playing – something Rangers fans have criticised him for this season – and needs to change things up and become more tactically flexible.
“I think it’s a realistic position for Rangers to be in,” said Stewart. “There’s no doubt that he’s a little bit too stringent in what he wants to do, he needs to be a bit more flexible in how he plays the game. There are always going to be levels of criticism, but second place in the table is a good place for them just now,” he added.
