Mark Lawrenson is backing West Ham United to beat Swansea City this afternoon.
Pundit Mark Lawrenson has told BBC Sport that he thinks West Ham United will beat Swansea City 2-0 at the Liberty Stadium this afternoon.
Hosts Swansea are in desperate need of points, as they currently sit joint-bottom of the Premier League table on 12 points from 17 games along with Hull City.
Bob Bradley is under pressure despite only becoming Swansea’s manager in October, and the biggest problem for the Swans right now is that they can’t stop conceding goals.

Last weekend’s 3-0 defeat at Middlesbrough mean that Swansea have conceded 25 goals in just ten games under American manager Bradley, and they have little chance of staying up unless they tighten up at the back.
Today, they host West Ham United at the Liberty Stadium, and whilst the Hammers have beaten Burnley and Hull City 1-0 in their last two games, Slaven Bilic’s side are still far from convincing after a slow start to the season.

West Ham currently lie 13th in the Premier League table five points clear of the relegation zone and five points adrift of seventh-placed Southampton, with Bilic no doubt keen to get his side back into the top half of the table.
The pressure on Bilic hasn’t completely subsided just yet, and after winning just one away game in the Premier League this season, he needs to pick up some points on the road – and a trip to Swansea seems like the perfect opportunity.
Ahead of the game, pundit Mark Lawrenson has told BBC Spor that he thinks West Ham will ease past Swansea with a 2-0 victory, noting that the Hammers are starting to pick up their form, and highlighting Swansea’s defensive woes.
“West Ham have taken seven points from their past three games and are starting to pick up a bit of form,” said Lawrenson. “The same cannot be said of Swansea, who continue to ship goals – they have conceded an average of three a game in their past five matches. The Hammers have only won one away league game so far this season, but I think they will double that tally in Wales,” he added.
