BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson predicts clear winner between Huddersfield Town and Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur travel to take on Huddersfield Town in the Premier League this afternoon.

Pundit Mark Lawrenson has told BBC Sport that he thinks Tottenham Hotspur will claim a 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town this afternoon.

Huddersfield head into the game having drawn 0-0 at Burnley last weekend, meaning it’s now four without a win for David Wagner’s side.

They have though only lost one of those games, and Wagner will be pleased that his side are strong defensively in their first Premier League season, conceding just three times in six games – only Manchester City and Manchester United have conceded fewer.

Huddersfield’s unbeaten home record will be under threat today though, as Tottenham Hotspur arrive at the John Smith’s Stadium in search of yet another away win.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men may be struggling to find their rhythm at Wembley Stadium, but they have impressed on the road, picking up a 3-0 win at APOEL Nicosia in Tuesday’s Champions League clash.

With away wins over Newcastle United, Everton and West Ham United as well this season, Tottenham have a 100% record away from home, meaning one team will lose a record today.

Ahead of the game, pundit Mark Lawrenson has offered his thoughts, telling BBC Sport that he doesn’t think Huddersfield’s home run will last much longer, and believes the run without a win is a concern.

Lawrenson added that he has been impressed with Tottenham’s away form, and is backing them to claim a 2-0 win in West Yorkshire this afternoon.

“Huddersfield picked up another decent point last week against Burnley, but it has been a while since they won in the Premier League, which is obviously a concern,” said Lawrenson. “The Terriers are still unbeaten at home this season, but I don’t think that will be the case for much longer.”

“At the moment, Tottenham are probably stronger on the road than they are at Wembley – and after wins at West Ham and APOEL Nicosia, I think they will make it three away wins in seven days,” he added.
