Tottenham host Everton in the Premier League this afternoon.

Pundit Mark Lawrenson has told BBC Sport that he thinks Tottenham Hotspur will beat Everton 2-0 at White Hart Lane this afternoon.
Spurs have endured some highs and lows of late, as whilst they hammered Stoke City 4-0 last weekend thanks to a scintillating first-half display, they have also been dumped out of the Europa League after an aggregate defeat to Gent.
A 2-0 defeat at Liverpool was also disappointing, and whilst a title bid looks to be over at this point, Mauricio Pochettino remains in the hunt for a Champions League place.
After last weekend’s win over Stoke, Spurs are at White Hart Lane again this afternoon, as Everton make the trip to North London today.
Ronald Koeman’s men took on Spurs on the opening day of the season, in a game which ended 1-1 at Goodison Park, and the Toffees will pose a threat again today.
Everton haven’t lost in nine Premier League games, winning six and drawing three, with last weekend’s 2-0 win over Sunderland another boost to the Toffees’ hopes of a top six place.
Ahead of today’s game, pundit Mark Lawrenson has told BBC Sport that he thinks Tottenham will claim a 2-0 victory, as they are ‘never off the boil for long’, and remain unbeaten at White Hart Lane this term, making Everton’s task a difficult one.

Lawrenson also commented on the two managers, as both Pochettino and Koeman have been mentioned in the running to become the new Barcelona manager – but he thinks both will be happy where they are right now.
“Tottenham made a disappointing exit from the Europa League but they never seem to be off the boil for very long, as they showed with their 4-0 win over Stoke,” said Lawrenson. “Generally Spurs are very good defensively and, at the other end, they just ripped the Potters apart last week – Harry Kane’s hat-trick was top drawer. I know Everton are nine games unbeaten in the league, but going to White Hart Lane and continuing that run is a huge ask.”
“I have seen that Toffees boss Ronald Koeman has been linked with the Barcelona job next season but surely Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino will also be interesting Barca? It will be interesting to see what happens there but I think both managers enjoy being in the Premier League and they both also know they are building something at the moment,” he added.
