West Ham United earned a credible draw against Manchester United yesterday.
Speaking on BBC’s Match of the Day 2 programme at 23:09 on November 27th, Hammers legend Trevor Sinclair explained how he feels there has been an overreaction to West Ham’s poor run of form, suggesting that they have actually been playing well in recent weeks.
Slaven Bilic’s men put in a real shift yesterday for the entirety of the 90 minutes at Old Trafford, and took what could prove to be an extremely valuable point with them back down the M1.
And, speaking on Match of the Day 2, Sinclair explained how there has been an overreaction to West Ham’s poor recent run, highlighting their last two performances as evidence of their improvement:

“Slaven Bilic is a fantastic manager, he’s done well at the club. To lose a few games, I think people have overreacted, and you can see there, the way they played against Spurs, the way they played against Manchester United. The work ethic from Payet and Lanzini has improved, so I feel that the players are behind him, and that’s always a good thing.”
Whilst Payet has not lived up to his exceptional displays from last season, he is still an integral part of the West Ham team, and he must make sure that he continues the kind of work-rate he has displayed over the past two games, if he is to help drag his side away from any kind of relegation trouble.

The Hammers face two more tough looking fixtures in the Premier League with a home game against Arsenal followed by a trip to Liverpool next up on the agenda.
They then have back-to-back home games against Burnley and Hull City respectively, and they must be targeting six points from those two fixtures if they are to truly salvage their season.
