Tottenham Hotspur are expected to mount a sustained push for the Premier League title this season.
Ex-Spurs star Jermaine Jenas outlined how Mauricio Pochettino’s tactical switch against Arsenal underlined his former side’s credentials as title contenders, when writing his column for Yahoo Sport.
Tottenham left the Emirates with a well-earned point after a hard fought match in which Arsenal were visibly taken aback when they lined up against a Spurs side containing three centre-backs.

Jenas, who made 203 appearances for the Lilywhites during a seven and-a-half year spell with the club, offered Pochettino high praise, calling his move to play three at the back a tactical masterstroke, when writing his column for Yahoo Sport:
“Something drastic was needed to tilt the balance in Spurs’ favour at the Emirates, and Pochettino delivered it. His tactical move to play three at the back turned out to be a masterstroke that underlined their credentials as title contenders. This new formation can be a game changer for Tottenham. They have pulled another weapon out of their armoury, almost from nowhere. This is now a formation they can go to at any time, whether during a game or at the start.”

The north London outfit currently sit in fifth position in the Premier League table, three points adrift of fourth-placed Arsenal, and remain the only unbeaten side left in England’s top flight.
They have struggled to win matches of late, however, recording four consecutive draws in league competition.
With the return from injury of number one striker Harry Kane, Tottenham fans will be hoping that their side can go from strength to strength now, and push their way up the table, as they attempt to mount the sustained title challenge that is expected of them.
