Garth Crooks has told BBC Sport that he feels that Aston Villa are going to struggle to score goals again this season, after watching them against Sheffield United last night.
Villa got their season off to a winning start against the Blades, but could only manage a 1-0 win against Chris Wilder’s side.
Despite having a numerical advantage from the first-half, Villa found it hard going against a resilient Sheffield United side.
And Crooks already fears that Villa will suffer some attacking issues as the campaign progresses.
“Villa look like they are going to have the same issues as they had last season with a lack of goals from their strikers,” Crooks said.
Harsh verdict?

Crooks’s analysis looks fairly tough on Villa, especially as their attack has not yet taken shape.
Villa have Bertrand Traore to add to their front three in future weeks, and it would not be a surprise to see another attacker come in.
Ollie Watkins also looked a real handful on his Premier League debut, even if he didn’t manage to hit the back of the net.
And while Villa were not at their very best last night, they should be a much greater attacking threat than they were last season, when they have fully clicked into gear.
