Ashley Williams hailed the ‘unbelievable’ Aaron Ramsey after the reported Newcastle and West Ham target starred for Wales on Friday night, as he told Football Focus.
The Juventus midfielder was one of the best players on the pitch, as Wales recorded a 2-2 draw against the Czech Republic during their World Cup qualifier and Williams thinks he ‘really made a difference’.
Whilst Ramsey’s struggles for game time in Turin, he is getting plenty of much-needed minutes under his belt for his country.
There have been suggestions that West Ham, Newcastle, Wolves and Everton all want to sign the box-to-box midfielder next summer.
The Hammers could, even in January, use Europe to lure the Welshman towards their direction.
But with Newcastle now under the guidance of the richest owners in world football, Ramsey just feels like a player they would sign.
Nonetheless, his fellow countryman, was full of praise as to how he performed during such a crucial game in Prague.
“Unbelievable performance,” said Williams. “There were question marks over how long he could play. What’s his fitness like.
“He was up and down the pitch all game. I think he really made a difference. He just calmed the game down. He dictated play from midfield and scored a really good goal.
“Hopefully, from Wales’ perspective, he can get his fitness right, recover from that game to go again and do it on Monday night.”

Ramsey was the one who opened the scoring for Wales and he did it in such an effortless manner.
After Dan James glanced the ball across to him, it seemed as though he was going to hit the ball first time as he was five yards in front of goal and standing by the near post.
But he waited for the goalkeeper to sit down, before taking several baby touches to his right-hand side, and despite several other players being in front of him, he kept his cool and guided the ball home.
Ramsey has always been a goalscoring midfielder and it’s something that would no doubt elevate a team like Newcastle if they were to sign him.
A couple of weeks ago, many would have said no chance, but now, it’s a different story.
