Tottenham ace Christian Eriksen is every bit as good as Liverpool’s Coutinho, says Garth Crooks.

BBC pundit Garth Crooks says he believes Tottenham Hotspur attacker Christian Eriksen is every bit as good as Liverpool playmaker Coutinho.
This would have made him the world’s second most expensive player behind Neymar, but Liverpool stood firm and resisted advances.

Both players scored at the weekend for their teams and Crooks selected them both in his BBC Sport Team of the Week.
He said: “This player is as valuable to Tottenham’s fortunes as Philippe Coutinho is to Liverpool’s. Their games are not too dissimilar either.
“Both love the ball at their feet, they can see the early pass, long and short, and they love to score goals. Simply, they have all the ingredients of a top-class midfield player.
“What I love about Eriksen is his ability to make things look easy.”

Eriksen scored what proved to be the winner as Tottenham beat West Ham 3-2 at the weekend, while Coutinho’s goal have as Liverpool beat Leicester by the same score.
The goal from Eriksen helped him become the highest ever Danish scorer in the Premier League with 33 goals, surpassing Nicklas Bendtner’s tally.
Crooks added that he felt it was no coincidence that Spurs’ performance dipped after they ‘sacrificed’ Eriksen after Serge Aurier was sent off, with their ability to control the game diminished.
