Is Tottenham’s Harry Kane the league’s best penalty taker? Or does that title belong to a Crystal Palace midfielder?

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane was back on the scoresheet this weekend with a brace against Huddersfield.
One of these was a penalty, and led to pundit Garth Crooks claiming Kane is the best spot kick taker in the Premier League.
After Kane’s brace which lifted Spurs to fourth in the table, Crooks told BBC Sport: “There cannot be a better penalty-taker in the league.
“He absolutely rattled his spot-kick past Jonas Lossl.”
Kane has scored two penalties this season, a figure shared with four players.
Bournemouth’s Joshua King, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, Brighton’s Glenn Murray and Manchester United’s Paul Pogba have also netted two – although Pogba has also missed one.
Last season Kane scored two penalties for Spurs in the league, a tally which was overshadowed by Crystal Palace’s Luka Milivojevic who netted seven spot kicks.

The Serbian is waiting to prove his worth from 12 yards this season, with Palace yet to be awarded a penalty.
In 2015/16 Kane scored five penalties, with Liverpool’s James Milner netting seven.
Kane proved his clinical ability from the spot this summer, showing nerves of steel for England in the World Cup, including converting in a penalty shootout against Colombia.
