Garth Crooks would love to see Everton’s Romelu at Liverpool.
Everton’s Romelu Lukaku in action
BBC pundit Garth Crooks has spoken dreamily about the prospect of Everton striker Romelu Lukaku playing for Liverpool.
Lukaku netted twice at the weekend against Hull, but his future at the club has been the subject of speculation after he turned down a new contract offer last week.
Crooks believes several Premier League sides are likely to be interested in Lukaku, suggesting Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea as in need of a forward.
But it was the prospect of him moving to Liverpool which Crooks told BBC Sport he would be fascinated to see.
He said: “Lukaku joining Sadio Mane at Liverpool is just too scary for words.”
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp
The Reds are in dire need of a striker, with Daniel Sturridge out of favour under Jurgen Klopp, but signing Romelu Lukaku would be a mere pipe dream for the Red side of Merseyside.
It is unlikely that Liverpool have the financial capability to tempt Lukaku away from Everton, and the Toffees would surely not sell to a rival, while the striker may even be unwilling even to entertain the idea.
