Chris Sutton told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport that Tottenham defender, Sergio Reguilon, was ‘absolutely petrified’ of Riyad Mahrez on Sunday at Wembley.
It was a tough afternoon for Tottenham’s summer signing, who could stop Mahrez, who was awarded the Man of the Match, from dancing on the right flank.
Whilst Spurs have had their problems this season, especially in defence, Reguilon has been one of a few bright sparks, but not of late.
As Sutton shared his brutally honest thoughts on the former Real Madrid man and his afternoon of trouble.
“He’s had a great afternoon, Riyad Mahrez,” said Sutton. “He hasn’t got the goal that he has deserved.
“Reguilon is absolutely petrified of him.”

For Reguilon, he has enough rope to pull which keeps him away from getting pelters from supporters because he has produced a number of strong performances this season.
But the same cannot be said for others, although, Tottenham’s defence, aside from Serge Aurier, produced outstanding performances at Wembley.
Now with Jose Mourinho gone, if Tottenham continue down this current path then many players, and those in the boardroom, will feel the heat that has now be taken off their recently-sacked coach.
